Polis Grand Hotel is a place with a special presence in the historic center of Athens, where you can experience an unparalleled sense of intimacy. Starting from the smiling faces of our people, the tasty breakfast in the bright dining area including Greek products and handmade delicacies, the flavors, and the smell of Greek coffee in the outdoor spaces of Polis Life coffee shop, and arriving at the colorful shades of the Attic sky to admire the imposing Acropolis view from the Polis Blue Sky Rooftop of the hotel on the 10th floor, your stay here will be unforgettable.

The hotel is centrally located next to the metro station (with direct access to the airport and the Piraeus port) and the National Archaeological Museum. Within a short walking distance, you will find Acropolis, some of the most popular cultural destinations of Athens and the best places for food and entertainment. DESIGN

Built in the 1970s, the 10-floor building belongs to the modern wave of regime change architecture. Throughout this period, the architects who designed it created elegant and functional spaces by making use of the natural light and the building's structural elements.

MATERIALS
The floor with its brown, carmine, and off-white shades of Chios marble, the wooden surfaces, the parterres with the beautiful flowers and the aromatic herbs take you back in time. Simultaneously, minimal and industrial details, inox and glass touches, the colorful chessboard in the carpets and the contemporary Greek art bring you back to the present.

Architect: Apostolos Nikolopoulos, Werner Maritsas.

Neighborhood
Athens is a lively city that never sleeps, full of cultures and styles. It possesses an intense past and a vibrant present, which can be wonderfully discovered right from our central neighborhood. Adorned with fountains and colorful flowers, the famous Omonoia Square is the ideal choice for your exploration.
Μust Do
Polis Grand lies on a street where you can walk and gaze at the imposing Acropolis. So, you can go through the Patission street and look at the Parthenon and the blue sky towards Plaka and Monastiraki. Walk along Ermou Street - the city's most commercial street- to Syntagma and stop to see the changing of the guard at the Parliament. Don't lose the chance to drink a coffee at Thiseion while observing Acropolis.

Head to the Varvakeios Market to see the traditional butchers and fishermen, cross the street and buy fresh fruit and vegetables from the colourful stalls and visit Evrypidou Street for some aromatic herbs and spices.

Spend your evening in the vigorous Agia Irini Square or Psirri area with countless options for drinks and (street)food (you should try doughnuts, souvlaki, bagels).
P.S. Don't forget your swimwear! We are only 35' away from the sea. Athens is the only coastal capital of Europe.
